Efficiently Distributing Interactions between Composed Information Agents
نویسندگان
چکیده
When information agents are organized to provide some composed functionality, their interactions can be formally represented as workflows. Traditionally, workflows are executed by centralized engines that invoke the necessary agents and collect results. If agents are clustered (e.g., based on geographic criteria), locally routing intermediary results between agents in the same cluster can be more efficient. This paper describes a mechanism that allows the execution of workflows in a distributed way. Intermediary results are routed directly from the producing service to the consuming one, minimizing the network traffic to the client. This approach is particularly useful if the client uses a mobile device with a slow or expensive network connection.

Multiagent Approach for the Representation of Information in a Decision Support System
In an emergency situation, the actors need an assistance allowing them to react swiftly and efficiently. In this prospect, we present in this paper a decision support system that aims to prepare actors in a crisis situation thanks to a decision-making support. The global architecture of this system is presented in the first part. Then we focus on a part of this system which is designed to repre...

Agent based modeling and simulation consider the behavior of agents acting in a system. The agents' interactions result in changing the agent’s behavior, the whole agent based system, and its environment. In this study, the manufacturing, sale, and receiving orders behaviors pertinent to manufacturing and sale agents acting across a pharmaceutical supply chain of an Iranian manufacturing medici...

متن کاملK-Trek: A Peer-to-Peer Infrastructure for Distributing Using Knowledge in Large Environments
In this paper, we explore an architecture, called K-Trek, that enables mobile users to travel across knowledge distributed over a large geographical area (ranging from large public buildings to a national park). Our aim is providing, distributing, and enriching the environment with location-sensitive information for use by agents on board of mobile and static devices. Local interactions among K...
